Icelandic Fashion Council
The Icelandic Fashion Council was founded in 2001. It is run by, and for, Icelandic fashion designers. The goal of the institute is to join Icelandic fashion designers in a tight knit community and support them in their creativity and business adventures. Since fashion design is a relatively new business in Iceland, one of the main concerns of the institute is to enlighten the public on the importance of fashion design and its fast growing business in our small community. It is equally important to the institute to promote its members abroad by creating a link between Iceland and the rest of the world and help bring Icelandic design to a compatible level on the world market.
