Nicefashion.org is a website tool focusing on social responsibility and sustainability in the fashion industry, and will officially be launched simultaneously with Fashion Summit in December
2009.
The purpose of the website is to create a key tool for the fashion industry, which will provide knowledge, information and a toolbox about CSR, sustainable sourcing and production in the fashion
industry. The website will serve as a primary information outlet in relation to the overall NICE project, being continually updated with relevant information for designers and textile production
companies on state of the art information, but also for consumers who seek relevant information. The tool is based on cradle-to-cradle thinking, so that all phases of a garment's lifecycle will
factor into the evaluation of the total ecological and social responsible footprint. This will further empower both designers and consumers in making an actual impact.
