PROJECT NICE
Nordic Initiative Clean and Ethical (NICE) is a joint project by Nordic Fashion Association (NFA). NICE is an educational project and process created to motivate and assist companies and their
stakeholders in integrating sustainability and CSR in their business processes and practices for the better of society and the environment. At present, many companies are not running a sustainable
business cycle, and the way products are brought to live are, in most cases, doing more harm than good. Many are realising that for businesses to generate profit is no longer adequate. Among the
Nordic fashion industry, a recurring wish and ambition to work more focused and goal oriented towards sustainable and responsible business processes have driven the foundation of NICE.
NORDIC FASHION ASSOCIATION
Nordic Fashion Association (NFA), the organisation behind NICE, was inaugurated in 2008 by the five Nordic fashion organisations: Danish Fashion Institute; Helsinki Design Week; Icelandic Fashion
Council; Oslo Fashion Week; and Swedish Fashion Council. The organisation has the core purpose of gathering the Nordic fashion industry and collectively embark on the process of working with, and
implementing, socially responsible and sustainable principles. In this process all levels of the fashion industry will be included in the process of clarifying which areas need attention and to
find suitable and durable solutions.
