COPENHAGEN FASHION SUMMIT 2012
The Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2012 is the world's largest conference on sustainability and fashion. Copenhagen continues to set the global agenda on environmental, social, and economically
sustainable solutions in collaboration with United Nations Global Compact.
THE NICE CONSUMER
Consumers have a significant part to play in the process of transforming the fashion industry towards more sustainable business models. However, at present, they are limited in their influence by
several factors.
Therefore the Nordic Fashion Association and BSR are working together to create a framework for engaging consumers on the sustainable consumption of
fashion.
The NICE Consumer rapport is now available for download.
UN GLOBAL COMPACT
Facing potentially devastating impacts of climate change and with attention on corporate sustainability soaring to new heights, the world needs innovators that can lead the push
toward more sustainable solutions. The fashion industry has the potential to be one such innovator, working proactively to address critical environmental, social, and ethical challenges on a
global scale. To accomplish this, the UN and NICE have agreed on the development of the first sector-specific initiative under the Global Compact.
